Register Here for Whole Family Chiropractic First Annual Nerve Camp for Kids! (Registration Deadline Thurs., Aug. 27)

As part of our Back to School Transition Tips (see our blog on Tip #1, Calming Transitional Nervousness) during the weeks leading up to the start of the 2015 school year, Whole Family Chiropractic is having a special Nerve Camp event just for kids!

What is Nerve Camp? WFC Nerve Camp is a superfun learning time for kids coming up on Friday, Aug. 28. Whole Family designed the Camp in response to a Parent Survey and a Moms focus group that expressed great interest in a class where kids could learn more about how their bodies work.

The first annual Nerve Camp will teach kids about their bodies and their health in several different ways:

First, kids will learn more about body awareness and how that can help them from Ms. Katie Thune, M.A. of Mad Hatter Yoga. Ms. Thune and her husband, Dusty, a teacher in the St. Paul Public Schools, are practice members of WFC along with their daughter Ingrid, and have found the neurological care they receive to be extremely beneficial in their health and lives. (You can read Dusty’s story elsewhere on the WFC blog.)

Nerve Camp will also include a special talk just for kids by Dr. Tye Moe and Dr. Chelsey Henney of Whole Family Chiropractic. The doctors will teach kids more about how their bodies–specifically their neurological systems–work, and how the brain, spinal cord, and nerves affect their body’s health and function.

Last, Nerve Camp will teach kids a special calming yoga exercise that they can use to help themselves when they feel stressed. Nerve Camp will also feature a fun game and a snack.

The camp will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes. Cost is $14 for the first child in a family, and $7 for each additional child. Whole Family Chiropractic kids may invite their friends, too!

Other interested parents and their children are also welcome. Parents who are not members of Whole Family Chiropractic may register online at the links below or by calling the office at 651-789-0033.
